Magnetic Sensor Systems (MSS) has released a series 1" (25.4mm) stroke, Pull Type D-Frame Solenoids. The S-20-150 Series is comprised of 18 different low-cost D-Frame Solenoids designed to meet the voltage, duty cycle, force and stroke requirements of the user. These clean, high efficiency, low-cost S-20-150 D-Frame Pull Type Solenoids can be operated at a variety of duty cycles (voltage dependent) and are the ideal choice for: medical dispensing, mixing, valve control, disconnects, vending machines, farm machinery, transmission shifting, fire suppression systems, cabinet locks, door controls, assembly, and sorting equipment.
This series of light weight 11.1oz (0.31kg) solenoids has a stroke of up to 1.000" (25.4mm), is 1.50 (38.1mm) wide x 1.18" (29.9mm) high x 2.03 (51.6mm) long. A low friction brass guide along with a PTFE coated plunger assures long life. These open frame solenoids can create (voltage dependent) up to 12 lbs. (53.4N) of force continuously and up to 24 lb. (106.8N) of force at a 10% duty cycle near the end of stroke.
For easy integration into new and existing applications, these solenoids feature 4.0" min. (101.6mm) minimum leads, and on each side, three 8-32 or M4 x 0.7 threaded mounting holes, and the plunger features a clevis with cross drilled 0.120" (3.05mm) diameter hole and anti-bottoming E-Ring. The coils typically utilize 23 to 40 AWG (American Wire Gauge) windings with Class “F” insulation for better protection of the solenoid during longer duty cycles.
