INA Engine KITs allow effective and long-lasting repair thanks to intelligently put-together components that interact directly

Vehicle-specific solutions provide suitable replacement recommendations and save time during ordering process

Engine repairs are complex and require comprehensive understanding of the engine system. With the new INA Engine KITs, Schaeffler is addressing precisely this requirement. The company is now offering complete solutions for individual vehicles with all engine parts to be replaced – that encompass various subsystems. Whether it’s the valve train, timing drive, front end auxiliary drive or the cooling system – the cause of a defect often lies in one of the other of these subsystems. Despite of being located at different places in the engine, many components nonetheless interact directly with each other. Depending upon the vehicle manufacturer and model, the INA Engine KITs have exactly those parts recommended for replacement, which means garage employees can avoid a time-consuming search for the spare parts they need. Initially, Schaeffler offers six vehicle-specific INA Engine KITs. The range is continuously being expanded for relevant applications.

For instance, the INA Engine KIT for 1.3l JTD (Fiat) and 1.3l CDTI (Opel) engines consists of chain drive and valve train components, with all the accessory parts that go along with them. “With a defective timing chain, that tears or jumps off the sprockets, there is normally damage to the valve train as well. Among other things, there is always the danger – due to engine design – that the finger followers break or bend,” explained Dr. Robert Felger, President Product Management and R&D at Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket. “This is why we categorically recommend replacing all components that interact directly with each other, regardless of what subsystem they are in. This protects against hidden consequential damage and guarantees long-lasting repair.”

Under the INA brand, the experts at Schaeffler offer a complete spectrum of products and repair solutions for the entire engine. And that’s not all. An integral part of these repair solutions are references to the required special tools and detailed repair guidelines that can also be found at the REPXPERT online portal at www.repxpert.com.
