Schaeffler Launches Online Motor and Generator Bearing Calculation Module

One of the world's largest manufacturers of bearings, the Schaeffler group has released an online bearing calculation module for motors and generators. The software allows users to quickly and easily select suitable bearings for motors and generators based on typical loads and electromagnetic field parameters.

The BEARINX-online Easy EMachine online service is available online and can be used for free. Initial registration is simple and the user can immediately start calculating.

The module allows you to perform calculations for electric motors and generators with a horizontal, vertical or arbitrarily selected orientation. The user can select in the configurator such parameters as shaft weight, properties of cores and windings, magnetic field strength, etc., view and compare various bearing support options. This allows you to simulate belt pulleys, gears and imbalances at different speeds and at different loads.

Bearings critical for optimal motor performance can be calculated and selected from an integrated database including a wide range of INA and FAG bearing sizes. Saved files can be sent to Schaeffler Engineering for a final check of the calculations.

BEARINX is a whole software package for calculating rolling bearings, which allows you to simulate and calculate complete power transmissions and linear motion systems based on all parameters related to elasticity, stiffness of contacts and other environmental influences.

The BEARINX-online Easy family of online services is easy to use and allows you to calculate products manufactured under the INA and FAG brands for free.

In addition to EMachine, the following modules are currently available:

- Easy BallScrew for ball bearings;

- Easy Friction for calculating the friction of rolling bearings;

- Easy Linear for calculating monorail guide systems;

- Easy Linearsystem for single and multi-axis linear systems;

- Easy RopeSheave for designing ropes and pulley bearings.
