Launch of LEARN, the New Training Course by NTN-SNR

In order to meet an increased need for manpower, the NTN-SNR group is launching its vocational training program in November. Located at the heart of its aeronautical site in Haute-Savoie, this "school" unlike any other is open to all ...

At the cutting edge of technology, aeronautics fascinates. In April 2018, the extension of NTN-SNR's Argonay dedicated plant, a specialist in the design and manufacture of bearings, confirmed the growth of this strategic market. It is here, next to Annecy, that the bearings designed for customers in aeronautics are designed. Safran, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls Royce and General Electric, for example, use these solutions for Airbus and Boeing aircraft engines. The bearings of the group are also present in the rotors, turbines and transmissions of many models of helicopters. NTN-SNR is also the heart of the space adventure with the turbopumps fitted to Ariane 5! In order to meet the needs of this ever-changing market, NTN-SNR has decided to create the NTN-SNR Bearing Applications School (LEARN). Objective: to welcome, train and integrate the company's future certified rectifiers and assemblers. Launch on November 18th

? A new NTN-SNR launch pad aims to hire more than 150 people at its Argonay aerospace site by 2023. A forecast linked to increased demand, mobility, but also retirement. That is why, already renowned for its quality of training in-house, NTN-SNR group offers specific support to anyone wishing to discover this new sector and have a specific certification. This is the goal of the LEARN project. Supported by national and local partners (Ministry of Labor, Employment Center, Union Chamber of Metallurgy, UIMM, ADEFIM74, OPCO2I, Savoie Mont Blanc University, local public authorities ...), the proposed professional training course consists of: three blocks of actions: recruitment and integration into the company; training on technical fundamentals and assessment of professional skills; the mobilization of NTN-SNR teams to facilitate the transmission and evaluation of skills.

? Recruitment without CV With a duration of 13 months, this integration and training course, structured, progressive and 100% practical, is open to any candidate of more than 18 years, without condition of qualification or diploma. No CV is requested for the recruitment phases, consisting of half a day of practical tests of logic and editing (4h), then a motivational interview. Once the selections are made, LEARN is structured in two stages: - a common core of 1 month full-time and coming under the POE of P?le Emploi (Operational Preparation for Employment). These 140 hours of immersion - with 2 days of observation in the workshop - allow the candidate to discover the editing and rectification activities in order to refine his training orientation according to his aptitudes and aspirations. - a specific training of 12 months either in rectification or in aeronautical assembly (contract of alternation CDD or CDI). These specializations, each forming between 8 and 12 alternates per session, are provided by NTN-SNR experts and external trainers.

? Objective Certificate of Qualification At the end of this qualifying course in machining techniques, the new grinders and assemblers obtain a Certificate of Parity Qualification of Metallurgy (CQPM) attesting the acquisition of professional capacities for the trades of the industry, at the national level. The launch of LEARN will take place on 18 November, with recruitment phases starting in October 2019. If this first training cycle concerns only the specialization "rectification", the assembly will also be accessible from the second integration session in March. 2020. A great opportunity for the Annecy basin where the unemployment rate, although below the national average, still reaches 6.4%.
