Schaeffler BMW DTM M4 DTM has recorded two wins and two pole positions so far
The seventh and eighth rounds of the 2019 DTM season are special to both Schaeffler and Marco Wittmann: They are both celebrating their home event at the Norisring. Wittmann’s home of Fürth is located just a few kilometres from the Nuremberg street circuit, as is the HQ of the globally active automobile and industrial supplier from Herzogenaurach.
So, the race weekend of 6 and 7 July will be all about Schaeffler. More than 300 fans and employees will turn parts of the stone grandstands into the brand color.
As it stands, the Schaeffler BMW M4 DTM has two wins and the same number of pole positions to its name after six races. Marco Wittmann has 68 points, which puts him in fourth place in the driver’s championship.
Wittmann: “I want to be up there again.”
Regarding the race, the BMW works driver says: “The Schaeffler colors and the regional background are a special motivation for me personally, as I would love to repeat the success of last year. I will definitely give my all and of course I want to be up there again"
