Schaeffler again awarded for its brand communication

Tim Hahne (Producer and Managing Director Stereoscreen) and Jörg Walz (Vice President Sponsoring & Head of Corporate Communications Future Trends Schaeffler)

The communications department of Schaeffler is delighted to be present at this early summer with several prestigious awards: The technology magazine "tomorrow", which has been published since 2015, was also honored, as were the two short films "Why we race" and "Trailblazers".

For Schaeffler, urbanization is one of the megatrends that change the world and accordingly also forms the focus of corporate communications. Two marketing films of the technology company with urban background, which were produced by the Duisburg agency Stereoscreen, have now been awarded.

"Why we race" is the first car race ever to be held in New York, the Formula E-run 2017. The short film explains with impressive images why Schaeffler is competing in the electric racing series and in the heart of world metropolises. "Why we race" was awarded "Gold" in the category "Transport and Eco-mobility" at the film festival Green Awards in Deauville. The second award-winning marketing film is "Trailblazers" (English for "Wegbereiter" or "Vorreiter"), who was honored at the German Brand Award for outstanding brand communication as "Winner". It is already the fourth award for the film, which shows how the Schaeffler Bio-Hybrid is conquering urban traffic areas. Among other things, "Trailblazers" won a silver medal at the Corporate Media Award 2017 in Cannes.

The technology magazine "tomorrow", which was valued equally by journalists and industry contacts of Schaeffler - which focuses on the topic "urbanization" in the new issue published in mid-July - was once again honored. The jury of experts at the 24th Communicator Award awarded several "Awards of Distinction" to the magazine, which was produced in cooperation with the Hamburg-based communications agency Speedpool. In addition to the overall impression in the area of "Corporate Communications", the design of the title and the content pages as well as the textual presentation of the topics were praised. The online version of the technology magazine from Schaeffler ( www.schaeffler-tomorrow.de ) was one of the big winners at the 28th edition of the international Astrid Awards as "Gold Winner".

Jörg Walz, Vice President of Corporate Communications Future Trends, was delighted with the honors: "These awards are a confirmation that our corporate communications not only address the important issues at the right time. Thanks to a professional and informative as well as contemporary and attractive presentation, we also find wide access among the addressees. "

Thorsten Möllmann, Senior Vice President of Global Communications & Branding, said: "As technologies become more complex, the pace of transformation ever higher, it is even more important for us, as the communications department of a globally successful automotive and industrial supplier, to prepare content to be delivered by one perceived and understood by a large circle of recipients. The fact that we were honored more or less simultaneously with four media prizes in Germany, France and the USA, and that also for productions in the various digital, print and video formats, shows that we are successfully implementing our communication strategy across countries and markets.
