SKF demonstrates accelerated innovation at the International Paris Air Show 2017
SKF Aerospace demonstrates the company’s knowledge engineering capabilities for major fixed-wing, helicopter, engine and gearbox programmes.
Gothenburg, Sweden, 18 June 2017: The aerospace industry is requiring innovation and technological advancements to support products and services, and push the boundaries of performance. SKF has served the industry for many years and its portfolio of products and services has not only kept pace with, but also moved ahead of developments within the sector.
The company's showing at this year's International Paris Air Show demonstrates SKF Aerospace’s innovation and engineering capabilities, and why the company is the industry’s preferred total solutions provider.
With a prominent position on the airstrip in Chalet row A-132 and at the heart of the Rotonde in Hall 2a, booth B254, SKF will be displaying a wide range of its market leading engine and gearbox, helicopter and fixed-wing solutions. These will include SKF airframe bearings for landing gears, flight controls and structural applications, engine mainshaft and gearbox bearings, sealing, damping and isolator solutions.
SKF Black Design will be launched. It is the SKF innovation that will enable the use in the aerospace industry of composite material for high loaded, out of plane structural applications.
Other on-stand innovations will include compact, angular position sensor bearings and next generation advanced hybrid aero-engine bearings including peek cages, ceramic rolling elements, steel technologies and new bearing lubrication. Also on display will be SKF’s latest spherical plain bearings that allow for complex combinations of rotation and sliding contacts, light weight maintenance free bearings for flight control applications.
