Telestack all set for Conexpo-Con/Agg

Bespoke TC424 radial tracked conveyor for Canadian customer on show in Las Vegas

TELESTACK will be promoting their wide range of bulk material handling systems at Conexpo-Con/Agg show in Las Vegas, from 7–11 March, where an example of a TC424 radial tracked conveyor (42in wide x 80ft long) will be on display.

Commenting on the exhibition, commercial director Malachy Gribben said: ‘Conexpo is an important event for us. We have a strong global presence and Conexpo is not only the perfect platform to showcase our innovative products to the international marketplace, but also a great opportunity for us to welcome our customers and distributors.
‘Key members of our team will be in attendance, along with our distributors, and we look forward to demonstrating our extensive product and application portfolio that we have built over our 30-year history.’

As specialists in the design, manufacture and commissioning of mobile bulk material handling systems, Telestack say their products are capable of handling all free-flowing bulk materials, including ores, coal, aggregates, fertilizers, grains, woodchips, pellets and many others.

With one of the most comprehensive product line-ups in the industry, the company offers personalized solutions from an extensive range of ship loaders and unloaders, hopper feeders, truck unloaders, bulk reception feeders, stockpiling conveyors, link conveyors and telescopic stackers.

Telestack attribute much of their success to the ability to custom-design each unit to the specific needs of the customer, application and site conditions, and say their mobile solutions offer significant operating cost savings compared with traditional methods of material handling (wheel loaders, haul trucks, static conveyors etc), as well as providing health and safety, environmental and other benefits, such as reduced planning requirements.

The company also boasts the widest range of tracked stockpiling conveyors in the industry, with lengths ranging from 15m (50ft) to 31m (101ft), tonnages capacities from 100 tonnes/h up to 1,500 tonnes/h, plus an ability to handle lump sizes up to 300mm (12in).

Renowned for their strength and reliability, Telestack tracked conveyors are designed with a deeper mid-section and a ribbed boom design in the tail, mid and head section for extra strength and rigidity, making them particularly suitable for quarry operations involving high tonnages, large surges and large lump sizes.

The 80ft TC424 is one of Telestack’s key radial tracked conveyor products for the aggregate, sand and gravel markets. It can produce stockpile volumes in excess of 11,000 cubic yards (at 180°) and is said to be an ideal solution for stockpiling after mobile crushing/screening plants.

Telestack say the mobility and flexibility of their conveyors helps to reduce or remove the use of a wheel loader for stockpiling on site, eliminating the double handling of material and ultimately ensuring a better quality of product, as well as reducing fuel, labour and maintenance costs by up to 80%. Moreover, each conveyor can be packed into a 40ft container for ease of global transportation.

The wide range of stackers available ensures all applications are catered for, from heavy-duty primary jaw crushing operations to light-duty screening tasks. The TC424 unit on display at Conexpo, which is destined for a Californian customer, has an optional Tier 4 engine and is fitted with several features specifically designed for its particular task.

For example, the feedboot has been fitted with 0.25in liners and a fall break to help reduce wear in its highly abrasive application, while full radio remote control, side skirting and anti-roll-back options along the main conveyor, and a fully hydraulic radial arm and wheel pivot add to the machine’s ease of use.
