A table for the Awards Dinner has been booked and fingers are crossed at Quality Bearings Online Limited (QBOL) as they are extremely pleased to announce that they have been shortlisted, for not one but, three BQ Awards covering: Micro Exporter of the year, Export Team of the year and E-commerce Exporter of the year. The awards ceremony, a prestigious black-tie event, will take place at the Marriott Hotel in Leeds on the 9 February 2017.
Established in 2012 QBOL initially sold Bearings and Engineering Spares across the UK, unaware that their expertise would lie within exporting. Since then QBOL have expanded their market much further afield and have become a leading online supplier and distributor of over a million products with customers all over the world including UK, United States, Canada, Australia and plenty more.
Simon Riley Director of QBOL said “We are delighted to have been nominated for such prestigious awards. It is a great confidence boost to our business and an acknowledgement that all the hard work and investment we have made is worthwhile”
These awards are following up from winning the Micro Exporter of the Year in 2016 at the Chase Awards in London. Winning a Chase Award is a tremendous achievement but to be shortlisted for these three awards is incredible as QBOL strive to boost recognition and reputation throughout the Manufacturing and Engineering industries.
A recent achievement for QBOL in 2016 is that they have now successfully supplied to all 50 states of America; Simon continued “This was a major milestone for us and we are extremely proud to have accomplished such a task. We set the challenge to supply to all 50 states after having some early success in the US. We hoped we’d achieve this one day but didn’t envisage achieving it so quickly. We pride ourselves on value for money and speed of service. This ethos is certainly paying dividends in our exporting strategies”.
QBOL have many upcoming developments for 2017 starting with employment as their newest addition to the team is a Social Media and Digital Marketing apprentice and it doesn’t stop there as they are now currently looking to hire more staff to join their growing business.
We asked Simon what goals he has set in place for 2017: “We have a number of goals for 2017. The first being to enjoy the evening on 9 February. Then we have some challenging business targets. We want to continue our fast growth profile. To date we have exported to 66 Countries, we want this number to continue to increase, and we also, wish to grow our profile within the Countries we already work with. We’ve got a few overseas trips planned for 2017 which will strengthen our business relationships in these key Countries.
Finally, we are continuing to create new jobs and have a number of vacancies already out for recruitment. These are extremely exciting times for QBOL. Hopefully the Export awards will give us all a boost within the business. Good luck to the other shortlisted participants we are looking forward to meeting you at the awards ceremony”.
